Lying south of Chiang Mai, the granite mass of Doi Inthanon, 8,500 feet above sea level, is the highest summit in the country. Doi Inthanon is the tail of Himalaya mountain range, designated as a national park, the moist natural environment is a paradise for birds as it has almost 400 species, animals, flowers and faunas.
After a final steep climb, the summit is surprisingly flat though misty, cool and breezy. Walk shortly to see a small Stupa contains the remains of Chao Inthawichayanon the last independent ruler of Chiang Mai. Enjoy exploring around Ang-Kha Nature Trail at the highest peak viewing beautiful Fern & Moss as well as White & Red Rhododendrons (bloom only during Jan – Feb). Visit the Twin Pagodas built by the Thai Air force in honor of their Majesties King and Queen for their 60th Birthday Anniversaries. Stop on the way down to shop at Hmong Tribal Market who trades various kinds of vegetation, temperature fruits and flowers from their own farm. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant. Last stop will be made at Wachiratarn Waterfall. Relax by fresh and clear fall for freshen up after a long day tour. Transfer back to Chiang Mai.

Start your full day excursion to Chiang Rai. En-route to Hot Spring Baan Pong Nam Ron, this is an opportunity to see Karen Pandang. Continue on to visit Wat Rong Khun; the white temple. Then drive on to the Golden Triangle area where the mighty Mae Khong River joining the Ruak River and forming the triangle with the borders of Thailand, Burma, and Laos convene. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Visit also the Opium Museum. Then continue on to the old city of Chiang Saen (A.D.1260) on the steep banks of Mae Khong River opposite to Laos, to witness some magnificent ancient ruins and temples. Follow your guide to visit Long Neck. Return transfer to Chiang Mai.

Visit a giant and picturesque Meo hill tribe Village set in an attractive hillside spot and see the Meo tribesmen dressed their colorful traditional costumes. The tour also take in Wat Phratat Doi Suthep is almost sacred temple containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here at 3,500 feet above sea level. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon, visit Home Industries.
Proceed to Bo Sang craft center where generations of Bo Sang families have been engaged in umbrella and parasol making for more than 200 years. Here, we can watch women make bamboo and paper umbrellas, then hand-paint them with traditional Thai scenes or floral patterns. Afterwards visit the cotton and silk weaving villages, the major course of all the Thai silk and cotton produced in Chiang Mai. Then see artisans carving wood and creating celadon, silver and lacquer ware items.

You will visit a training camp of elephants, which is almost like a school. You are shown how the animals are trained from young age onwards and the pupils will demonstrate what they have learned. Afterwards ride on an elephant through the jungle for 1 hour, followed by a rafting adventure along the river where you can enjoy the beauty of the country- side. Lunch will be provided.
After Lunch you will visit an Orchid farm.
